Playdale Playgrounds Limited, Cumbrian based outdoor playground manufacturer are offering a playground anti-viral coating service to help keep playgrounds and children as safe as possible.
Designed to inhibit the growth of microorganisms for up to 60 days after application, the revolutionary coating is extremely effective in covering any sizes and footfall of play area.
The coating is a revolutionary water based antimicrobial formula which has been tested to be effective against a wide range of enveloped viruses and bacteria. The active ingredient in the coating is ECHA (European Chemicals Agency) registered to reduce a broad spectrum of microbes to reduce the need for constant cleaning regimes.
The coating is easy to apply and bonds with playground surfaces using a pressurised spray bottle. Once the coating has dried, it forms an invisible layer of “nanospikes” that penetrates the cell membrane and destroys them. Due to these “nanospikes”, the process of elimination is mechanical and not chemical.
Barry Leahey MBE, Playdale’s Managing Director, is excited by this revolutionary technology saying:
“We are proud to be taking a new scientific-based approach to aid the safe reopening of play areas across the UK with the introduction of the PlaySafe anti-viral coating service. Access to outdoor play is now more important than ever. We want not only to see children having fun again but also give owners and operators the confidence to reopen their play areas safely.”
